Ann Lockett is the Interim Chief Executive Officer of Action for Children, the local child care resource and referral agency for central Ohio. Ann brings over thirty years of experience and dedication to this role, serving as the Director of Early Childhood at the Educational Service Center of Central Ohio. In that capacity, she builds strategic partnerships to enhance student access to high-quality early childhood education. Ann previously served as a member of the Action for Children Board of Directors.
Before joining the Educational Service Center of Central Ohio, Ann made significant contributions to the Columbus City School District as their Director of Early Childhood Education. She also held various positions within the Westerville City School District, notably as the Director of Early Childhood Education, where she was instrumental in designing and opening the district’s Early Learning Center. Ann’s extensive experience includes serving as a Speech-Language Pathologist at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and providing therapeutic services for the Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities Early Childhood Education Program.
Ann holds a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Pennsylvania State University and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Dayton. She is committed to serving children, their families, and the community, and looks forward to leading the AFC team with passion and dedication.
