Position Description:

Future Ready Five

Overview:
As a Kindergarten Readiness Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting parents to better prepare their children for school, and beyond! You will be responsible for reviewing assessment data with parents, holding them accountable, and assisting them in creating sustainable plans to support their child’s development at home. Additionally, you will recommend resources and facilitate/recommend workshops to empower parents in their role as their child’s first teacher.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Assessment Administration & Review:
· Conduct assessments of children’s readiness for kindergarten based on standardized tools or assessments provided by Future Ready Five.
· Analyze assessment data to identify each child’s strengths and areas for growth.
· Conduct consultations with parents to discuss assessment findings and implications for their child’s kindergarten readiness.

2. Accountability and Support:
· Hold parents accountable for their child’s learning journey in a supportive and non-judgmental manner.
· Provide ongoing encouragement and guidance to parents as they implement strategies to support their child’s development at home.

3. Sustainable Plan Development:
· Collaborate with parents to develop individualized plans that align with their child’s needs and family dynamics.
· Offer practical strategies and techniques for parents to incorporate into their daily routines to support their child’s learning and development.

4. Resource Recommendations:
· Identify and recommend educational resources, materials, and tools that can enhance parents’ efforts in preparing their child for kindergarten.
· Curate a library of age-appropriate books, activities, and learning aids for parents to access and utilize at home.

5. Workshop Facilitation:
· Plan and recommend/facilitate/assist with workshops on topics related to early childhood development, kindergarten readiness, and effective parenting strategies.
· Provide interactive and engaging sessions that empower parents with practical skills and knowledge to support their child’s learning.
· Collaborate with community partners to offer weekly guidance sessions for resource and/or intervention implementation.

6. Documentation and Reporting:
· Maintain accurate records of consultations, plans, and progress notes for each family.
· Generate reports to track parent and child outcomes, including improvements in kindergarten readiness indicators.

Compensation:
· $40-$50,000 annually based on experience and education

Qualifications:

Qualifications:
· Background in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Psychology, or a related field.
· Experience working with young children and families in educational or community settings.
· Understanding of child development principles and early learning strategies.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with diverse families.
· Knowledge of assessment tools and techniques used to evaluate kindergarten readiness.
· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to the evolving needs of families and children.
· Flexible schedule required (evenings and weekends are possible to meet family needs).
· Bilingual or Multilingual proficiency is preferred.
