Action for Children's Shared Services

Enhancing Efficiency and Sustainability in Child Care

Action for Children is offering child care centers and Family Child Care owners and administrators the opportunity to participate in a shared services pilot! This program operates in partnership with the Ohio Department of Children and Youth (DCY) and is currently available for free to licensed child care programs in all seven central Ohio counties: Delaware, Fairfield, Franklin, Licking, Madison, Pickaway, and Union counties.

Action for Children’s free suite of Shared Services is the preferred choice for child care professionals seeking comprehensive assistance to prepare their business for the future.

    • Behavioral and mental health services for educators and children 
    • Essential support to optimize Child Care Management System (CCMS) experience  
    • Access to professional tax services  
    • Access to QuickBooks software and training sessions

    The BOSS at Action for Children 

    • Employee recruitment support 
    • Professional review of job descriptions 
    • Instruction and coaching on utilizing Aquire4Hire

Modern Tools to Enhance Your Business

Shared Services participants get free access to brightwheel’s Child Care Management System (CCMS), which is required to participate in Shared Services.

Shared Services participants can request a free tablet to support the Child Care Management System (CCMS) experience. Tablets can be used to access brightwheel features like photo sharing, real-time feeds about care and daily summaries, and classroom reminders and announcements.
