Why Give

HOME > About Us

By investing in Action for Children's programs and services, you help:

  • provide necessary professional development for our community's early childhood workforce so they can provide children with the quality early learning environment they need;

  • provide families with free resources to find child care and early education programs for their children; and

  • provide parents with the tools they need to help prepare their children for school.

Research shows that for every $1.00 invested in early learning, we save $7.00 in future expenditures per child. Your dollars make a difference to every child!

Action for Children provides coaching, technical assistance, classes and mentoring to 9,000 child care providers in our community. We offered nearly 600 courses so that professionals can attain national credentials, continuing education credits, achieve national accreditation or Step Up to Quality ratings.

Why Give - Childcare Search

Childcare Search
We assist parents and caregivers in finding quality child care, early learning classes, preschool and after school programs that meet their needs of their children and their family.

Why Give - Advocacy

Advocacy
Action for Children's vision is that all children, when nurtured by strong families and vibrant communities, have access to quality early learning experiences that prepare them for success in school and life. Our advocacy efforts seek to make this vision a reality, and support the professional development of a strong, early childhood educator workforce.
